10 DAYS TOUR FROM TANGIER TO MARRAKECH / DESERT

DAY 1: MEET YOU IN TANGER PORT AND DRIVE TO CHEFCHAOUEN

Our journey will start with a little northern tour around Tetouan a city nearby Tangier well known for its tropical beaches and clean streets. Our next stop is at Chefchaouen the pearl of the north, a small village in the heart of the Rif Mountains; We will be drinking mint tea in the grand square called “Plaza Uta el Hamam”, it is well characterized by its Spanish designs, shops, cafés and joyful riads we’ll be spending the night in one them.

DAY 2: CHEFCHAOUEN – VOLUBILIS – MEKNES – FES

As the drifting and fresh breeze of morning strikes, we will be driving through atlas mountains until we reach the Volubilis ruins, remains of the Roman empire .then we will make a quick stop at Meknes the capital of the first ruling Arabic dynasty in Morocco, it dates back to 823, you can admire the enormous gateway that adorned with traditional Moroccan sculpture when the sky gets darker we will be found in Fez checking in to our hotel.

DAY 3: FES SIGHTSEEING

Today is all dedicated to Fes an imperial city that was built centuries ago, actually, it is listed as Unesco world heritage, we will be paying a visit to its most signifying monuments such as the Bouanania school, The karaouine Mosque, and tannery, after that we will chill in a hotel or Riad as it pleases you while eating your supper forget not to enjoy the sophisticated Andalusian music.

DAY 4: FES – IFRANE – MIDELT – ZIZ AVALLEY – ERFOUD – MERZOUGA

Our destination for today is the Sahara, along the way we will be passing by Ziz river through many villages built with clay until we reach Erfoud and Rissani, quick stops there and we continue to Erg Chebbi dunes which are just beside Merzouga. the special thing about these dunes is that they could reach a multitude of 150 m. we will be driving towards the hotel where we will be staying by the evening.

DAY 5: MERZOUGA – SAHARA DESERT – CAMEL TREK

As the light of day strikes, we will be wandering around the desert, off to explore the secrets of this wildlife, we will head towards El Khamlia to dance to rhythms of Gnawa music, and we’ll make a quick stop at both oasis and the village then off to Rissani the then capital of the Alaouit dynasty that is still ruling Morocco, we could visit the tombs of their ancestors if you’d like. There are ancient Kasbahs, souks, and decent restaurants that serve quite dainty pizzas. we will return to the desert to have a mint a tea and chill to soulful music, prepare yourself we will be riding camels for almost an hour, and you’ll enjoy seeing the sunset reflected upon the tops of sandy mountains, as you arrive at your tent where we will be spending the night in.

DAY 6: SAHARA DESERT – TODGHA GORGES – DADES VALLEY

Don’t miss the gorgeous sunrise in the heart of the Sahara, it is quite different than any other. After breakfast we will be going towards the Todgha gorges; along the road, we’ll be passing by Erfoud and Rissani. You could roam around and explore its reddish walls, and steep canyon. We could also have a walk in the oasis of the nearby valley. As for the night, it will be spent in the dades valley in a warm traditional riad.

DAY 7: DADES VALLEY – OUARZAZATE – AIT BENHADDOU – MARRAKECH

In the morning, we’ll head towards Marrakech but before our arrival, we will pass by the one thousand Kasbahs a Unesco world heritage site. then on to Kalaat Mgouna well known for its unique flowers. We will pay a visit to Ouarzazat and exactly Ait Benhadou, the largest southern castle, then on the road until we reach Marrakech.

DAY 8: MARRAKECH CITY TOUR

Off to Marrakech. one of the most visited cities in Morocco and worldwide, it’s often called the red city, so today’s gonna be dedicated only to getting to know this mysterious area, we’ll visit Jamaa el Fna square, take quick snaps with snakes and monkeys, listen to storytellers or watch dancers and musicians practicing their passion. Our next stop is at the Bahia palace, then to Badii palace, Saadian tombs, and Koutoubia mosque. If you are interested you could visit the Majorelle Garden or local souks by evening we will head towards our hotel or Riad as you chose.

DAY 9: DAY TRIP TO ESSAOUIRA

Our final destination will be the antique and charming Essaouira, a small town yet with grand European architecture of the 19th century and wavy beaches that make for a good surfing day, make sure to visit its old port. in the afternoon we will drive you back to Marrakech. until we embark on yet another prepossessing journey!

DAY 10: MARRAKECH – AIRPORT

We will drive you over to Marrakech, and make sure that you get to the airport safely. That will mark the end of our 10 days Morocco tour from Tangier to Marrakech.
