Day 1: Marrakech ➝ High Atlas Mountains ➝ Aït Ben Haddou ➝ Ouarzazate
We begin our adventure early in the morning around 08;00 am, when we meet you at your hotel or riad in Marrakech with a warm welcome and a smile. As soon as we leave the lively Red City behind, the landscape starts to change, we will be passing by the Tizi n Tichka path and berber villages .
The journey through the mountains is one of the most beautiful roads in Morocco. We drive across winding passes, green valleys, and rugged cliffs, stopping whenever you wish for photos, fresh air, or simply to admire the peaceful views. Along the way, you’ll see traditional Berber villages, with stone houses built into the hills, where families still live in the same gentle rhythm passed down through generations.
We continue toward the famous Aït Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most iconic places in Morocco. This ancient clay fortress has protected caravans, families, and traders for centuries, and today it is known around the world thanks to movies and series such as Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, and Game of Thrones.
Together, we walk through its narrow alleys, explore its old corners, and climb to the top to enjoy a breathtaking view over the valley a moment that connects you deeply with Morocco’s history and culture.
By late afternoon, we reach Ouarzazate, also called the “Gateway to the Desert.” This city is rich in cinema history, desert culture, and charming kasbahs. Day 2: Ouarzazate ➝ Draa Valley ➝ Rissani ➝ Merzouga Desert (Erg Chebbi)
After breakfast, we gently begin our journey deeper into the south. As we leave Ouarzazate behind, the landscape opens into the beautiful Draa Valley, one of the longest and most peaceful valleys in Morocco. The road winds through endless palm groves, small Berber villages, and ancient kasbahs that still hold the memories of old caravan routes.
We take our time here, stopping for tea, photos, and moments of calm as the colors of the desert slowly change around us.
By the afternoon, we arrive in Rissani, a town rich in history, tradition, and desert culture. Once a major trading center for caravans traveling between North Africa and the Sahara, Rissani’s old market still carries the spirit of those days.
You can explore the traditional souk, see locals selling spices, dates, and handmade crafts, and feel the energy of a place that has been alive for centuries.
From Rissani, our journey continues toward Merzouga, the welcoming gateway to the golden Erg Chebbi dunes. When we reach the edge of the desert, your camels will be waiting for you. Together, we ride gently across the soft dunes as the sun begins to set, bathing the Sahara in warm shades of gold, orange, and red. The silence, the colors, and the slow rhythm of the camel steps create a moment of deep peace.
When we arrive at our luxury desert camp, you will be welcomed with fresh mint tea and warm Berber hospitality. As the sun disappears, the desert sky fills with stars, and your evening begins with a delicious dinner prepared by our team.
After dinner, we gather around the fire for Berber drumming, music, and stories, shared under the open sky. It’s a simple, pure moment full of beauty, culture, and a feeling you will carry with you forever.

After breakfast at the camp, we ride the camels back to Merzouga (or return by 4×4 if you prefer), where our driver meets us to begin the next part of the journey.
We leave the dunes behind and drive toward the Dades Valley, passing first through Erfoud, a town known for its fossils and date palms. Here, you can see the rich desert culture that has shaped life in this region for generations. We continue through Tinjdad, a small town famous for its crafts and warm local atmosphere.
Our road then leads to Tinghir, home of one of Morocco’s most breathtaking natural wonders, the Todra Gorge. The canyon walls rise almost 300 meters high, creating a dramatic and beautiful scene.
